Ultrasound

Okay, I am posting like crazy today!

Yesterday we had an appointment for a 3D ultrasound at 9:30 a.m. I called Valerie and invited her to come but she didn't want to bring all the kids and couldn't find a sitter for that time of day. So I told her that I would like to take Isabella. I went and picked her up and we all headed over to Rosemark and got back in the room. The technician (Darla) lathered me up with the gel they use and put the sensor thingee on my tummy and immediately said, well this isn't going to be a very productive ultrasound. Miss thing is turned all wrong, she is in the breech position so we couldn't get a good picture of her face. Apparently the anterior wall is in the way and there was not enough fluid between the wall and her face to get a good pic. We were able to get a half decent picture of her chin and lips. Her nose looks HUGE!! We then asked her to check and make sure that it was still a girl :) so she had to poke around to get her to move her legs (oh, her bladder was also full so Darla says "well, with as much as she is holding it right now, she should be really easy to potty train" lets keep our fingers crossed!) and sure enough, she is still a girl! Darla points at some random fuzzy thing on the monitor and says "Labia, Clitoris, Labia". It was cute.

Bella thought that the baby looked kind of weird and when I showed the picture to Isaac he agreed with that assessment and said "are you sure this is the baby you want?" heehee! I don't think we have a choice at this point!

The Mouse!!!

Yesterday I came into work early to get some work done before Jeremiah and I headed out to get a 3D ultrasound. I sat down at my desk and thought that I saw something streak across the floor out from under my desk to behind my filing cabinet. I was kind of freaked out thinking, that really couldn't have been a mouse, could it? (just a side note here, I really really really hate mice! they freak me right out!) So I decided that I would be really brave and look behind the cabinet and see if I could see what had gone back there and if it was a mouse I was just going to leave cause I don't want that kind of stress in my life! :) So, I very cautiously looked behind there and there was nothing there woo hooo I think and continue to work but put my feet up on my chair because I'm still not REALLY convinced that I have seen the end of whatever it is that went streaking in my office. So about 30 minutes later I see the little streaker again and sure enough, it is a little field mouse!! It ran right over to my computer and did some little zig zags while I screamed my fool head off scaring the guy that works in the office next to me. Then it ran off into the main part of the office and I left for the day! SURELY not done with my work yet but unwilling to stick around!

Later, I called Dave and told him that I couldn't work here anymore that these kinds of conditions were unacceptable!!! So, I'm back at work today but there is a mouse trap and D-Con in my office now.

I am still sitting with my feet crossed underneath me though! :)

two garbage candy

I have been meaning to write this down and keep forgetting!

The other day Valerie came over to my house to see my new recliner and brought the kids with her. Isabella asked me if she could have some candy and I told her yes (of course!) and told her she could get it out of the candy drawer herself. Well, there are really two candy drawers at my house, one that she can open easily and one that is really hard to open. So she comes back and tells me that the candy that she wants is not in the drawer she can open. I asked her what kind of candy she wanted that wasn't in there and she says "I want the two garbage candy!" Yeah, she wanted reese's miniature cups! They have two wrappers on them and that is the garbage!! That girl is soooo cute! :)

New Years Eve

Well, a very exciting new years eve is coming up for Jeremiah and I..... we are babysitting!!! woohoo... so excited I can hardly wait! Mark and Mary are sending Eli and Alison down to stay with mom and dad the rest of the week and they have a party to go to tonight at my Uncle Dave's house (yeah, they have a party to go to and we don't.. sad!) so Mom called me last night and asked me if we could watch the kids for them. After watching Monster (Ethan) last night, and him being quite the monster (I do still love him though!) I am not to enthused to be watching kids tonight! Plus, it's new years eve... j is very mad that I told her yes. BUT, usually we just watch movies until about 11:59:59 then watch the ball drop and then go back to watching movies... or j wakes me up in time to watch the ball drop then I go back to sleep! :) So I can't imagine that we would have done anything differently tonight. I think it's just the thought of babysitting!

Doctors and names

okay so I am retarded!! I had a dr.'s appointment for my 3 hour glucose test this morning. I ate really good yesterday so that it wouldn't affect the test and stopped eating at midnight as instructed. This morning I got up and got ready for work then my stomach was hurting so bad so I had some toast!! What the?!?!! I was NOT supposed to eat before going in. Seriously, my brain is pretty much gone for the past couple of months! I am sooo forgetful! So I had to call and reschedule the appointment and I am going to try and eat really good for the next week (and try to remember to eat as well!)

I did remember my massage today and that felt wonderful! I always love to get a massage and really needed it after spending the night at the inlaws with the hardest and smallest bed ever made! Now I am back at work

Okay, I wanted to put the names that we are considering down on paper so I can try to decided what to name junior. Maybe then we can stop calling her peanut!!

Hailey Marie Hathaway

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have a new little niece!! She was born to my brother Mark and his wife Mary on 12/25/08!! That's right, a beautiful little bundle for Christmas! She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. and is soooo cute, she has hair and it looks like it is highlighted!!! So adorable!
