Rough Day...

Yesterday was a very rough day for Wren and I. It started out pretty good with Wren climbing into bed with me at 7:30, cuddling up with me and falling asleep. I had a Dr's appointment at 10:50 so I finally woke Wren up at 10:30 and we made it (only 5 minutes late). After the appointment we went to Target and got a couple of things that we needed for the baby and then we came home and had a nap. After naps things just went down hill! I went downstairs to change the laundry and when I came back upstairs Wren had gone into the bathroom, climbed up on the toilet and got my eye makeup remover. She then proceeded to climb into my red recliner and dump it out ALL OVER IT! Luckily it was Mary Kay and oil free and so came out of the material. I had not taken my meds that morning because we were in such a hurry to get out the door so I'm sure that I overreacted a little bit but it made me so angry. After that pretty much everything that she did just made me more and more angry. She got into the pantry and ate a bunch of cookies creating a crumby mess. Then, I'm sure because she could sense how stressed and upset I was, she just wanted me to hold her and hug on her. I was NOT in the mood! It took over 2 hours to clean the chair! I had lots of other plans for yesterday. I kept trying to remind myself that this too shall pass and that I would regret staying angry for as long as I was. Also that Wren probably really didn't remember why she was in trouble and why I was so angry after that amount of time!

Today has been much better! Wren did wake up at 7 this morning, which is fine with me... I just wish that she would be more consistent in the time of awakening each morning! She was sick about a month ago and was waking up in the night needing medicine and milk. It became a habit and now I don't know how to break her of it. She wakes up at the same time every night and she is old enough that I know she doesn't need to be! I am thinking about putting her back in the crib for a week or two to break her of the habit. That way she cannot go wandering around the house and will be confined to her bed...
