Thanksgiving....

We had a really great Thanksgiving this year. We spent the holiday with the Martin's in Pocatello at Jeremiah's brother, John's home. Each year we split and switch the holidays between the in-laws and the "out-laws". It is really nice because then we don't feel like we are always rushing to be somewhere and each family knows what to expect of us and when we will be there. The food was delicious, the company was great and we had a really great time. We went down on Wednesday night and spent the evening just having conversation and catching up and the Wren and I went over to Clyde and Dixie's to go to bed and Jeremiah went back to John's and talked with his brothers some more. Thursday I woke up with a migraine - YUCK- so Jeremiah got Wren up and ready for the day while I tried to sleep it off. We headed over to John's at about 1:00 p.m. and got the potatoes peeled and started them boiling so that we could have mashed potatoes with dinner. We also brought three salads, 2 boxes of stuffing that we mixed with 3 more boxes that John provided and 2 dozen rolls. John made the turkey and a green bean casserole and Paige made the gravy. There was other food there but I can't really remember what else... I am pretty sure there were yams (yuck).... I would have to say that the only thing that I did not love about the vacation was the drinking. Sometimes when people drink they get loud and obnoxious and when there are only 2 or 3 in a group that are drinking, it is really only fun for those people doing the drinking. I am thankful that I have grown to be the person that I am and no longer feel the need to have a party whenever I don't have to work or get up early the next day. I love that I feel comfortable enough in my skin and life to not feel like I need an escape. Anyway, enough of that!

Friday Valerie MADE me get up with her and do some crazy shopping! And yay for me, I barely spent any money at all!! I got Wren some PJ's at Walmart and Target and some socks at Fred Meyer but other than that I think I only got one other thing!! Good job ME! :) After we were done shopping we were all starving so we went to Perkin's for breakfast and woke mom up to go with us. After that we went a couple more places shopping where mom bought some little Einstein movies for Wren and I bought a Yo Gabba Gabba movie and then we went and saw NEW MOON!!!!!!! Oh how I loved this movie! It was so much better than Twilight on the whole special effects side of things. I do love Twilight also but it was kind of corny! I could tell that they had a much bigger budget on New Moon than they did on Twilight! After the movie, I finally got to come home and take a nap - Thank you Jeremiah for watching Wren all day! You are the greatest dad and hubby!! :) I'm pretty sure that we did something else that evening but I can not remember what! :( Blair and Paige did come up to our house that night with all of their kids and we just hung out and talked. The "men" all went over to Papa Tom's and played pool and ate pizza while us girls stayed so that Wren could go to bed and we just talked. Saturday I got up and made breakfast for everyone and then we were planning on going and seeing The Blind Side at 3:55 but it was sold out so we just went and walked around the mall. I got a pair of pants for Wren at Old Navy and we ate some pretzels... YUMMY! Then Blair and Paige went back to Pocatello and Jeremiah and I went home and watched movies and hung out. Wren has now cut another tooth on the top and has started to get a runny nose and is not feeling on top of the world. She is still a little stuffy and acting a bit sickly as of today and I feel really terrible for her but I am sooooo ready for her to be my happy healthy girl again. The plus side is that she still sleeps really well!

Here are some pictures of our Thanksgiving....
