Sunday Morning Drama

So Sunday morning Jeremiah had a Stake Priesthood Leadership meeting to go to at 7:00 a.m. He actually went (I was so proud of him!) and then came home and crawled back in bed for a 30 minute nap before 9:00 a.m. church. Of course, he forgot to set his alarm and since I figured he was going to be up and going before me, I did not set my alarm at all. He woke up at 10:00 (luckily we have reverse schedule for church so Sacrament is last) and started freaking out for me to get up and get going for the day so I got up and put breakfast in the oven then started to dawdle about trying to wake up for the day and get in the shower... All of the sudden I smell smoke in the house and you will never guess......

I STARTED THE OVEN ON FIRE!!!!! No, I am not kidding! I am retarded! I was baking a dish called caramel ring and the caramel spilled over into the bottom of the stove and it caught fire! Nearly gave me a heartattack!! I couldn't think of what I was supposed to douse the fire with so I was yelling at Jeremiah... "The house is on fire the house is on fire... What do I do???" Luckily he was a little more cool headed than I was and calmly told me to throw baking soda on it so I did and everything turned out alright.

Of course, that woke me up for the day but by that time, it just wasn't worth it to go to church. Happily, the caramel ring was still yummy to eat and didn't taste smoked or fire-grilled! :)

We then just chilled the rest of the day and watched City of Ember, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist and Pride & Glory. None of them were good enough for me to ever want to watch again. Then we went over to mom and dad's and hung out with the kids and talked with everyone for a couple of hours.

oh man! Did you you total damage? Good way to get a new oven if you needed one....HA! Glad it didn't burn the place down, that would have been bad right before the baby is supposed to come. Missed seeing you Sunday! Glad everything is going great with the baby.
